Program One: Traditional This
program (or Path) concentrates more on History and Philosophy and also
contains some use of the Asian language (Chinese or Korean, the Amazon
in Training's choice. Not Japanese, as this program does not
contain any Japanese style (like Judo or Kenpo) in it's instruction).
Here is an outline of what this program contains:
- A full Ten Belt Ranking system. Ten tests, ten belts until reaching the end of the System.
- Instruction in Asian language. (Chinese or Korean). This means learning the form names and the counting system in that language. Not speech. You will not be required to learn the entire language, only that which pertains to the System.
- Heightened concentration on Philosophy and History both of the Martial
Arts and Amazons in general. Required reading is doubled.
- Journal and Daily Meditation Period required.
Program Two: Self Defense Concentration
- Five Belt Ranking System. Only Five belts, five tests
to reach the end of the system. This is because only fighting techniques
and very little else is learned so the pace is greatly increased. However,
it is not as well rounded as the first. It is primarily meant
for people in high risk situations who need the information as quickly
as possible and can get by with smaller amounts of information about
Philosophy and History.
- Philosophy and History. Less intense than the first
program, but still there, as it's part of my vision for this program.
It makes for well roundedness and knowledge in the Amazon in Training.
-
Journal and Daily Meditation Period required.
