Welcome to Amazon Nation

Amazon Nation was founded because of the lack of places for women to go to learn true self defense while being emotionally empowered. Most self defense courses are created by men, and a lot of women are intimidated by the attitude that prevails there. They are sometimes made to feel like victims, even in a place for their learning! I saw too much of that, and so created Amazon Nation. A Women's Self Defense and Empowerment Center created by a woman for women.

I've been giving a lot of thought lately to the fact that some women get a lot out of the traditional aspects of the Martial Arts while others just want to learn bare bones Self Defense.

To this end, I've re-defined the two Paths an Amazon can take that both lead to a Black Belt in the system, but concentrate on different areas. A more in depth explanation of the Paths can be found here.

Since Amazon Nation is such a new concept, there are often questions that arise about the program. If you would like to know some more in depth things about how the program works (how can such things be taught via the Internet for example) please go directly to the FAQ page.
